Saturday Night on March 28, 2009, Shifa Foundation Falahee Clinic held its 3rd Fund Raising Annual Dinner cum Mehfil-e-Adab-o-Mushaira on the lawns of Shifa International Hospital. The bright blue tickets displayed Ch. Ahtizaz Ahsan as Chief Guest, Javed Chaudhery as special guest and seven renowned figures from the field of Poetry and Adab.

This glorious evening started at 8:00 pm. It was a gathering of 400. The Proceedings were attended by a man of humor and wit, and programm proceeded in the Name of Allah. Ms. Munazza Ijaz, the master of ceremony opened the living room by inviting. Mr. Javed Chaudhery (Columnist) on the stage. Then the powerful speech by Mr. Ahtizaz Ahsan made the evening worthwhile.

Mr. Anwar Masood, Mr. Sarfraz Shahid, Dr. Rashid Mateen, Mr. Zahid Fakhari, Mr. Salman Gillani, and Ms. Saima Janna fueled the function with their beautiful artistic presentations, which revealed puns in their verses and sharp literary pieces. The ceremony was meant to be a fund raising appeal for the less endowed countrymen in relation with an attempt to drop a smile on serious faces.

It was an absolutely perfect evening and a major victory of Shifa Foundation Falahee Clinic. Everything was feasthy fantastic, lights, luxurious, backdrop blushing and poetry provoking. It was fabulous and before everybody left, Dr. Nasir Khokhar, thanked and congratulated all the people who helped him to put on this marvelous event.

Everyone agreed that it was the dinner of the year and wished SF another year, as long as they are invited to the 3rd Annual Dinner.
