Shifa International Hospital Islamabad’s Liver Transplant team organized a one-day Filter clinic for patients with Chronic Liver Disease/ Cirrhosis in collaboration with Shifa International Hospital, Jaranwala Road, Faisalabad on 20th July, 2019. The team consisted of Consultant Liver Transplant Surgeons; Dr. HaseebHaider Zia & Dr. NusratYar Khan who examined patients from Faisalabad and surrounding areas such as Okara, Sahiwal, Gojra, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang and Shahkot.
Shifa International Hospital Islamabad’s world class Liver Transplant Team checked over 65 new patients that needed consultancy and over 15 follow-up patients that had previously gotten Liver Transplant Surgery from Shifa International. Majority of the patients were suffering from Chronic Liver Disease (CLD). It was due to the efforts of our respected consultants and the marketing team that the camp was a huge success.Over 850 Living Donor Liver Transplant surgeries have so far been performed at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad with success rates comparable to International Standards.
